Welcome to Martin Murphy's Website.

My instinct to paint goes back to my early teens, and my formal art education was on the cusp of my second and third decades. Shortly after training I took a considerable break. This is not to say that I ceased being a painter - I continued to “construct” paintings, though not in a physical sense, but merely storing them in my mental database for future realisation. That is until this database reached choking point, about the same time I turned 50. Now it’s a full-time job, downloading onto canvas!

Sometimes it is good to leave the best ‘til last.
